Dr Becker leads educational initiatives on Israel and the Jewish world at the Shalom Hartman Institute.
He advises on geopolitics, Middle East affairs, and peace and security policy, including complex bilateral and multilateral negotiations and matters before the United Nations and other international bodies. He is a graduate of Columbia University and the author of Terrorism and the State.
Public service
Legal Adviser to the Foreign Ministry
Until recently, Dr Becker served as Legal Adviser to Israel's Ministry of Foreign Affairs and as a senior member of Israel's peace negotiation team.
He represented Israel before the International Court of Justice. He played a key role in negotiating and drafting the Abraham Accords between Israel, the UAE, Bahrain, and Morocco.
