Who we are

This website, koshertravelers.com, is run by Kosher Travelers, a trading name of Eddie's Travel & Tourism Ltd (company number 513465054), P.O. Box 568, Modi'in-Maccabim-Re'ut 7171801, Israel ("we", "us").

What we collect

When you send an inquiry

The inquiry form asks for the program you are interested in, your name, where you live, your email address, your phone number, and anything you want to tell us about who is traveling. It also records which page of the website you sent it from and, where it can, how you found us, such as a Google search, one of our ads or a link in one of our emails. You choose what to put in the message; please do not send passport or card details through it.

When you contact us or book

If you email or call us, we keep what you tell us. When you book, the reservation form asks for the details needed to arrange your trip, such as each guest's name as it appears in their passport, dietary and accessibility needs, and payment details. Bookings are made on the reservation form, never on this website.

Dietary, accessibility and medical details you give us are used only to plan your trip, shared only with the hotel, ship or guide who needs them, and deleted with the rest of your booking record. Because these are health details, we use them only with your explicit consent, which you give by telling us about them on the reservation form or by email, and which you can withdraw at any time; without them we may not be able to arrange the right meals, rooms or assistance.

When you visit this website

There are no accounts on this website, and it does not store your details in a database of its own. Like every website, the server that delivers our pages receives your IP address and browser details when you visit, to send you the page and keep the site secure. If you allow it, we also use analytics, described under Cookies and analytics below.

How we use it

• To answer your inquiry: the person who looks after your region calls or emails you.
• To arrange and run your trip, including passing the details each supplier needs to the hotels, cruise lines, airlines and guides involved.
• To keep the records the law requires, such as accounting records.
• With your consent, to understand how visitors use this website and improve it.
• If you agree, to email you about our programs. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to stop at any time.

We do not sell your personal data, and we do not share it with other companies for their own marketing.

We rely on these legal grounds: taking the steps you ask for before a booking, and carrying out the booking contract; our legal obligations; your consent, for analytics and marketing emails, and your explicit consent for any dietary, accessibility or medical details you choose to share, each of which you can withdraw at any time; and our legitimate interest in running and securing our business.

Cookies and analytics

When you first visit, a banner asks whether you accept analytics cookies. Nothing is measured unless you choose Accept, and Reject is as easy as Accept. Your choice is kept in your own browser's storage so we do not ask again; it contains no personal details.

If you accept, two analytics services load:

• Google Analytics, which counts visits and pages and where visitors come from. IP addresses are anonymized.
• Microsoft Clarity, which shows how visitors click and scroll, including recordings of visits, so we can see where a page is hard to use.

If you accept, we also remember in your browser's storage how you found us, such as a Google search, one of our ads or a link in one of our emails, for up to 90 days. If you send an inquiry, this goes with it, so we can see which of our advertising and links bring inquiries. If you choose Reject, nothing is remembered, and an inquiry records how you found us only if you send it from the first page you opened.

Guest videos on our testimonials page are hosted on YouTube. Their preview pictures come from YouTube's servers, and a video loads only when you press play, in YouTube's privacy-enhanced mode. The fonts on this site are served from our own website.

Who else sees it

Your details are seen by the Kosher Travelers team, by the suppliers who provide your trip, and by the service providers who run things for us. They may use your data only to provide their service to us:

• the company that hosts this website, and the email service that delivers your inquiry to us and our confirmation to you
• Cloudflare, which runs our domain and the check that an inquiry is sent by a person
• the systems that hold our email and customer records
• Google Analytics, only if you accept analytics cookies
• Microsoft Clarity, only if you accept analytics cookies
• Klaviyo, which sends our newsletter, only if you subscribe
• the hotel, ship or tour operator for the trip you book

Kosher Travelers is based in Israel, and some of these providers and suppliers are in other countries, including the United States and the destinations you travel to. Where your data leaves the European Economic Area or the UK, we take reasonable steps to make sure it is protected as well as it would be there.

How long we keep it and how we protect it

We keep your data only while we have a valid reason to: to answer you, to carry out your booking, to meet our legal obligations, or for as long as you have agreed. We review what we hold once a year and delete what we no longer need, or when you ask us to.

• Inquiry correspondence: 24 months after your last message.
• Booking records: 7 years, for our accounts.
• Newsletter: until you unsubscribe.

This website is served only over an encrypted connection (https). It has no login, no admin panel and no database of visitors' details.

Your rights

You can ask us, free of charge:

• for a copy of the personal data we hold about you
• to correct anything that is wrong
• to delete your data, where we no longer need it
• to stop or limit how we use it, or to object to a use
• to send your data to you or to someone else in a usable format
• to withdraw a consent you gave, such as for analytics or emails

Write to david@koshertravelers.com and we will reply within one month. If you are not happy with our answer, you can complain to the data protection authority where you live, such as the Information Commissioner's Office in the UK.

Changes to this policy
