A kosher ski week in the Dolomites

Our kosher ski vacation in Italy is a winter stay at a fully kosher 4-star hotel, the My One Hotel, in Canazei, a ski village in the Italian Alps. You ski the Dolomites by day and come back to kosher meals, a synagogue in the hotel and a full Shabbat. It is a kosher ski week with the food and the Shabbat taken care of.

Where: Canazei, in the Val di Fassa in the Dolomites, beneath the Sella group and the Marmolada. About two hours' drive from Verona and Venice.
When: The winter season, December to March. Stays are private: you choose your dates inside the season rather than joining a fixed week.
Meals: Glatt Kosher Mehadrin. A breakfast buffet you can make a packed lunch from, dinner each evening, and full Shabbat meals.
Shabbat: A synagogue in the hotel, with a Sefer Torah and a complete Shabbat program.

Kashrut

Glatt kosher in the Italian Alps

Every meal is Glatt Kosher Mehadrin, Chalav Yisrael, under the supervision of Rav Benzion Rabinowitz, the Admor of Biala. The meals are prepared in the hotel by our own team, headed by our executive chef, with Italian kosher cooking at breakfast and dinner.

Breakfast is a buffet of sweet and savory dishes. Make up a packed lunch from it before you go up the mountain, and there is afternoon tea and cake when you come down. Tell us about any allergy or dietary need when you inquire.

The My One Hotel, Canazei

A fully kosher 4-star hotel on the mountainside in Canazei, with a sauna and spa and massage treatments. You stay in the village, so the evenings are yours: a walk down the main street, the spa, or a quiet night in after a day on the slopes.

Your room: A 4-star room. Ask about family rooms and connecting rooms when you inquire.
Spa: A sauna and spa, with treatments from massage therapists.
Getting there: Fly to Verona or Venice; Canazei is about two hours' drive from either.

The ski week

Skiing the Dolomites, and a winter week in Canazei

The Dolomites are a UNESCO World Heritage Site, with more than 1,200 kilometers of ski slopes. Canazei sits at the head of the Val di Fassa, and there is no set timetable: ski as much or as little as you like, and come back to the hotel for tea and dinner.

Off the slopes, the valley has lakes and villages to walk: Lake Carezza, Lake Alleghe, Pera di Fassa and the Avisio River. Our guests share one thing: they keep Shabbat and kashrut without compromise. They come from all over the world, English-speaking, and the atmosphere in the hotel is an accepting one. The ski week suits a family winter vacation, a couple, or a group of friends, whether you are on skis for the first time or have skied for years.

What the ski week costs

The price of a private stay is on request. As a guide, the 2025/26 season was from $2,800 per person.

The price covers your room at the hotel, the kosher meals and the Shabbat program. Flights and travel insurance are extra; ask us about ski passes, lessons and equipment.

When is the next kosher ski vacation in the Italian Alps?

The hotel takes private stays through the winter season, December to March: you choose your dates rather than joining a fixed week. Send an inquiry with the dates you have in mind.

Where is the kosher ski week?

In Canazei, a ski village in the Val di Fassa in the Dolomites, in northern Italy, at the My One Hotel. Canazei is about two hours by road from Verona and from Venice.

Is the food kosher, and who supervises it?

Yes. Every meal is Glatt Kosher Mehadrin, Chalav Yisrael, under the supervision of Rav Benzion Rabinowitz, the Admor of Biala: a breakfast buffet you can make a packed lunch from, dinner each evening, afternoon tea and cake, and full Shabbat meals.

How is Shabbat kept on a ski vacation?

Shabbat is spent in the hotel, with a synagogue with a Sefer Torah and a complete Shabbat program, and full Shabbat meals. Nobody skis on Shabbat; it is a rest day in the mountains.

Are ski passes, lessons and equipment included?

They are not on the list of what the stay includes. Ask us when you inquire about passes, ski school and equipment hire for your family.

Is it suitable for beginners and non-skiers?

Yes. You ski as much or as little as you like. For non-skiers there is ice skating, snow trekking, sledding, the alpine coasters and the hotel spa. Ask us about lessons for beginners and children.

Are flights included?

No. You book your own flights to Verona or Venice, each about two hours by road from Canazei. Send us your flight times and we will help with getting to the hotel.

Do I need travel insurance?

We strongly recommend insurance covering cancellation, medical care, winter sports and luggage, bought soon after you pay your deposit so the cover is complete.
