Pesach and Kosher Travel in Israel

Pesach in Jerusalem or on the shore of the Kinneret, and the whole of Sukkot above the Sea of Galilee: our programs in Israel, each in one hotel we have taken for the chag, Glatt Kosher Mehadrin throughout, with the people who run them there with you.

Our programs in Israel

Three hotels, two chagim

Two Pesach programs for 2027, in Jerusalem and on Lake Kinneret, and a Sukkot program each autumn at David's Harp. Guests come from New York, London, Manchester, Melbourne and Johannesburg, and from across Israel.

Dates and from-prices are the ones published today, per room for two guests, in shekels; Israeli citizens add VAT. Each program page carries the full rate table, the deposit and balance dates and the scholars.

Pesach 2027

Pesach programs in Israel for 2027

Pesach 2027 begins with the first Seder on the evening of Wednesday, April 21. Both Israel programs run to the Israeli calendar, both are under an Israeli rabbinate, and both have a second-day minyan for guests from abroad when there is demand for one.

Choose Jerusalem for the city on your doorstep through Chol Hamoed, or the Kinneret for a family week by the water with the Galilee around you. Full board on Shabbat and Yom Tov at both. The full Pesach 2027 calendar is on Passover 2027 dates, and every program we run, in Israel and in Rhodes, is on Passover programs 2027. The customs behind the week are in Pesach in Israel.

Jerusalem: Pesach at the Inbal Hotel

The Inbal is a five-star hotel in the center of Jerusalem, with the Old City walls in view from the upper floors, an on-site synagogue for every tefillah of the chag, an indoor pool on the spa level and a courtyard under stone arches.

Supervision is by the Jerusalem Rabbinate, every product Mehadrin, no kitniyot, gebrochts served. Full board on Shabbat and Yom Tov, breakfast every day of Chol Hamoed, and the city in between: the Kotel is a walk away, and an optional Israel mission runs each day of Chol Hamoed with English-speaking guides. Rabbi James Kennard, formerly Principal of Mount Scopus Memorial College in Melbourne, is the scholar in residence, with Vicky Kennard.

The Kinneret: Pesach at Nof Ginosar

Nof Ginosar sits directly on the shore of Lake Kinneret, with a private beach, lawns running down to the water and 180 renovated deluxe rooms and suites. It is our family program.

A brand new pool, tennis and basketball courts, mini golf, bikes, a kids club and a teen program, and Grand Deluxe Family rooms for a couple with three children, or a two-room family plan for larger families. Supervision is Glatt Mehadrin under the Emek Hayarden Rabbinate; gebrochts is served. Rabbi Joel and Ruthie Portnoy and Herb and Susie Keinon are the scholars in residence, and Gilda Posner hosts on site for the whole program. You pay for seven nights and the night after Chag is free, with breakfast. Tiberias, Tzfat and Meron are a short drive, and the Golan is across the water, for day trips that are optional and self-drive.

Sukkot · each autumn

Sukkot programs in Israel: David's Harp on the Kinneret

Each autumn we run a Sukkot program at David's Harp, a hotel built in the shape of a harp in the hills above the north-west shore of the Kinneret, with the Golan Heights across the water.

Seven nights over the whole of Sukkot, from Erev Chag to Hoshana Rabba: full board on Shabbat and Yom Tov, half board on Chol Hamoed, a private Beit Knesset in the hotel, two scholars in residence in sequence, wine tasting in the sukkah, and a children's program. For Sukkot 2026 the entire hotel is Glatt Mehadrin, under the supervision of the Rabbanut Emek Hayarden, with a mashgiach on site. David and Chana Walles host. The 2027 program runs from Friday, October 15 to Friday, October 22, 2027. The Sukkot page has the dates and what to ask before booking: Sukkot programs.

Earlier years

The hotels of earlier years

Our programs in Israel have moved between hotels over the years. Guests come back year after year.

Earlier Pesach programs were at Ramat Rachel in Jerusalem, Neve Ilan in the Judean Hills, the Hacienda in the Galilee and the Leonardo Plaza, and an earlier Sukkot program at the Dan Caesarea. What guests wrote after them is on the guest reviews page.
