Winter & Summer

Kosher Family Vacations

Kosher family vacations with something for the children every day: a camp and a teen program at our Pesach hotels, day clubs at Sukkot, a summer tour of Panama, a ski week and a private safari. Every meal is Glatt Kosher Mehadrin, and Shabbat is kept with the group.

For families

Our kosher family vacations, in date order

These are the kosher family vacations whose own pages say what there is for children: four hotel programs for Pesach and Sukkot, our Panama tour in July, the ski week in the Dolomites and a private tour of Cape Town and Kruger.

Dates and from-prices are the ones published today: per couple on the hotel programs, per person on the tours. Sukkot 2027 at David's Harp is Friday, October 15 to Friday, October 22, 2027.

Pesach 2027

Kosher family resorts for Pesach: a camp, a teen program and room to run

Our Pesach programs in Rhodes and at Nof Ginosar have a supervised children's camp and a separate teen program, run by professional, hand-picked youth counselors, and the Inbal in Jerusalem has a kids club, so parents get the chag too.

In Rhodes the Elysium adds a children's pool, a playground, mini golf, ping pong and billiards, family and separate swimming times, and an early dinner for the children. Connecting rooms are limited and cost extra.

Nof Ginosar is our family program: a private beach on the Kinneret, a new pool, lawns, bikes, mini golf and ball courts, entertainment for the family in the evenings, Grand Deluxe Family rooms for a couple with three children, and a two-room family plan for larger families.

Pesach 2027 at Nof Ginosar, Lake Kinneret

At the Inbal in Jerusalem, Family rooms and connecting rooms keep the family together, and the indoor pool, the courtyard and the park next door give children room to run between meals and tefillot.

Sukkot

Sukkot with the family at David's Harp

Seven nights over the chag in one hotel above the Sea of Galilee. Children and teens go off to day clubs for their age, looked after by counselors, while their parents have time for a shiur or the spa.

The infinity pool has family and separate swimming times, babysitters can be booked through reception, and there are lawns and three easy walks from the hotel. David and Chana Walles host. Sukkot 2027 at David's Harp is Friday, October 15 to Friday, October 22, 2027.

Summer · July 12–19, 2027

Panama in July, with the children

Eight days in Panama in July, when schools in the US, Canada and Israel are out for the summer, so school-age children can come.

The days are active: the Panama Canal at the Miraflores Locks, a zipline or an aerial tram in the rainforest, a canoe up the Chagres River to an Emberá village, a walk to a waterfall and a beach day on the Caribbean. Shabbat is with the Jewish community of Panama City, and the afternoon is at your own pace. Every meal is Glatt Kosher Mehadrin, and the group comes back to one hotel each evening.

Winter · the Dolomites

A family ski week in the Italian Alps

A winter week in Canazei, in the Dolomites, at a fully kosher 4-star hotel. It suits a family winter vacation as well as a couple, whether you are on skis for the first time or have skied for years.

For beginners and children, ask us about ski school and lessons. Non-skiers have ice skating, snow walks, sledding and the spa, and Shabbat is a rest day in the hotel. Ask about family rooms and connecting rooms when you inquire. Stays are private, for your own dates in the season.

South Africa · a private tour

A private safari for your own family

Eight days run privately for your own party, not a group departure, leaving any Wednesday: four nights in Cape Town, then three at a small lodge in the Thornybush Game Reserve for morning and afternoon game drives.

The tour is suited to couples and families traveling together, and it is priced on a minimum of six people. Cape Town is full and active, with walking tours, a cable car and a canopy walkway; the safari days are gentler, with rest between the drives. Every meal is Glatt Mehadrin, under the supervision of the Johannesburg Beit Din.

Grandparents to grandchildren

A multigenerational kosher vacation

Families come to our Pesach programs across the generations, grandparents, their children and the grandchildren, at one Seder table: one family in Rhodes came nearly thirty strong.

  • A Seder for your family at its own table, or in a private or semi-private room where the hotel allows it
  • A two-room family plan at Nof Ginosar, Family rooms at the Inbal, and connecting rooms in limited number, at an extra cost
  • Something through the day for each age: the camp, the teen program, the shiurim and the scholars, the pool and the evenings
  • Tell us who is coming, from the youngest to the oldest, and we will suggest the rooms that keep you close

Cruises and other tours

Children on our cruises and other tours

Our cruises and our other tours are not on this page because their pages do not yet say what they offer children. If you are thinking of one as a family, ask us: tell us the ages of everyone coming, and we will tell you which trips and rooms suit you.

Every cruise is on kosher cruises, every tour on kosher tours, and the hotels on kosher hotels.

Kashrut

Glatt kosher, for every age at the table

Every meal on every one of these trips is Glatt Kosher Mehadrin, and each trip's page names who supervises it.

On the Pesach programs the Elysium is Glatt Kosher Mehadrin throughout the hotel, kitniyot-free and non-gebrochts, the Inbal is under the Jerusalem Rabbinate, and Nof Ginosar under the Emek Hayarden Rabbinate; in Rhodes the children eat an early dinner. In Panama dinners are at the city's kosher restaurants; in South Africa meals come under the Johannesburg Beit Din. Tell us about any allergy or dietary need, for adults or children, when you inquire.

Who it suits

Young children, teenagers and grandparents

The hotel programs are the easiest with young children: one room, one dining room, the camp every day and nothing to pack up. The tours and the safari suit children old enough for full, active days.

  • Our guests keep Shabbat and kashrut; there are no religious requirements to join, and we never ask about your observance
  • Shabbat is a rest day on every trip, in the hotel or with the local community
  • The tours ask for a short health declaration on the reservation form, because some days are more active than others
  • Tell us the ages of everyone coming when you inquire; the trips that fall in school breaks are below
  • Grandparents coming too? Questions about access (ground-floor rooms, lifts and distances) are answered before anyone books. See also trips for travelers with time

Questions

Questions parents and grandparents ask

Which of your trips are best for a family with young children?

The Pesach hotel programs: each has a supervised children's camp and a teen program, and Nof Ginosar is our family program, with a beach, a new pool and a two-room family plan. For Sukkot, David's Harp has day clubs for children and teens.

Is there a kids club?

Yes, on the Pesach programs: a supervised children's camp and a separate teen program, with professional, hand-picked youth counselors. At Sukkot, David's Harp has day clubs for each age. Ages and hours for each hotel are to be confirmed.

Can the whole family stay close together?

Yes. There are Family rooms at the Inbal, Grand Deluxe Family rooms and a two-room family plan at Nof Ginosar, and connecting rooms in limited number, at an extra cost. Tell us who is coming and we will suggest the rooms.

Can we bring the children on a tour?

Our Panama tour runs in July, when schools in the US, Canada and Israel are out for the summer, and the Cape Town and Kruger tour is private, for your own party. Tell us the ages of your children when you inquire; children's prices and any age limits come with the itinerary.

How much do children cost?

On the hotel programs children sharing a room pay a child rate; at Nof Ginosar children aged 3 to 12 share at the child rate, and infants under 2 are 50 NIS a night. Each program page carries its full rate table.

Is the food right for children and for allergies?

Every meal is Glatt Kosher Mehadrin. In Rhodes the children eat an early dinner. Tell us about any allergy or dietary need when you inquire, and again before you travel.

Can grandparents who find stairs hard come?

Yes. Tell us when you inquire, and we will tell you which rooms are step-free and how far they are from the dining room and the synagogue.
