Rabbi Joel and Ruthie Portnoy are Jerusalem based, originally from London, and have been married for 45 years. For over three decades they served as Community Rav and Rebbetzin in Hale, South Manchester. They have nine children and made Aliyah in 2019. Rabbi Joel and Ruthie are relationship therapists, combining Imago Couples Therapy with relationship coaching, and are co-founders of 2halvesofasoul.com. As the brochure notes, they often have a son, son-in-law or grandson serving in miluim.
