TIPS TO LOOK FOR IN A PASSOVER PROGRAM

1. HOTEL MANAGEMENT:

Check in particular, if the Hotel you are looking at has worked with Passover operators in the past or it is their first experience running a Passover program. The set up and logistics required from a Hotel for Passover are vastly different than operating all year around.

From the Hotel’s perspective they land a big group booking but may have little idea how to accommodate the many Passover requirements and it may simply be over their heads.

2. HOTEL STAFF:

The hotel management and staff should know the program’s every need and requirement. It should not be taken for granted that in Israel particularly the Hotel Staff understand the laws of Kashrut and the laws of Passover in particular. In the USA and Europe too, the staff may not be familiar with the intricacies of Jewish Law

3. TIPS AND EXTRAS:

Does the Passover operator “nickel and dime” you? What is the size of your bill after the program upon checking out? Nasty surprise?

Are tips and taxes included or do you have to pay extra?

Does the program sell the Tours and Tiyulim during Chol hamoed or are they included in the upfront price?

This can leave a bitter taste from your Passover holiday experience.
