Rabbi Dr. Aaron Adler is a protégé of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik zt”l. He received semicha from RIETS, Yeshiva University, where he also earned a B.A. and M.A. in Talmudic Literature, and completed a Ph.D. in Talmud at Bar-Ilan University with a specialisation in Maimonidean contradictions.
After making Aliyah in 1979, he served on the Bar-Ilan faculty and later as president and campus rabbi of Emunah College for Arts and Technology in Jerusalem. Rabbi Adler has lectured for the IDF, appeared as a commentator on Kol Yisrael, and led communities in Long Island City, the Young Israel of Beersheva, and the Neve Orot Synagogue in Ramot, Jerusalem.
He is the founding Rosh Yeshiva and current president of Yeshivat Bnei Akiva Ner Tamid in Chashmonaim, and today serves as spiritual leader of Ohel Nechama Synagogue in Katamon. He lectures widely in Israel and around the world.
At David’s Harp, Rabbi Adler is in residence from Friday 25 to Wednesday 30 September, giving a series of shiurim and talks including a Friday night Oneg Shabbat discussion, a Shabbat Kiddush talk, and a sing-along in the Sukkah.
