An African safari is an incredible experience, from exploring wildlife reserves to observing animals up-close in their natural habitat. This African Safari tour is available in a 9-night/8-day package. This is not a group tour, and therefore you can conveniently reserve a private tour at a time that is ideal for you and your family/small group. Prices are based on a minimum of 2 travelers to guarantee departure. 

All tours will begin on a Monday at Johannesburg International Airport and end the following week on Tuesday.

Itinerary

DAY 1: Camp Ndlovu-Monday :

  • Arrival in Johannesburg (preferably on a morning flight)
  • 3-hour private transfer to a secluded bush lodge on the Welgevonden Game reserve, bordering Marakele National Park.
  • Welcome drinks and lunch
  • Afternoon safari drive
  • Return to hotel for dinner

DAY 2: Welgevonden Game reserve-Tuesday: 

  • Sunrise safari tour
  • Leisure time to enjoy the lodge amenities
  • Afternoon safari drive including sundowners in the bush
  • Return at twilight for dinner overlooking the waterhole

DAY 3: CAPE TOWN - Wednesday: 

  • Flight to Cape Town
  • Belmond Mount Nelson, which boasts nine acres of gardens, set below the famous towering cliffs of Table Mountain
  • Enjoy rolling lawns, numerous swimming pools, a luxurious spa, and a wellness center.
  • This location includes access to the national art gallery and the ornate central gardens and is only a seven-minute walk to the Cape Town Hebrew Congregation.

 DAY 4: CAPE TOWN Thursday:

  • Full-day private Cape Point tour
  • Visit Chapmans Peak Drive, Cape Point and the Funicular, and Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach

DAY 5: CAPE TOWN Friday: 

  • Full-day private Cape Town City and Table Mountain tour including your vehicle, guide, tickets to Table Mountain, visits two museums, and the Castle of Good Hope. Enjoy a shady stroll through the Kirstenbosch Tree Canopy Walk and botanical reserve on the lush slopes of the Newlands Peak. Return to the hotel and prepare for Shabbat, then walk seven minutes to the local shul. Savor a Shabbat dinner at the hotel.

DAY 6: CAPE TOWN Saturday: 

Walk to the Garden Shul for morning services. Afternoon at your leisure with Shabbat meals included.

DAY 7: LIVINGSTONE (VICTORIA FALLS) Sunday: 

  • Domestic flight to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe (3 hours)
  • Stunning sunset boat cruise on the Zambezi River with an up-close look at elephants, hippos, crocodiles, fish, and countless exotic bird species

 

 DAY 8: LIVINGSTONE (VICTORIA FALLS) Monday:

  • Dawn guided tour of Victoria Falls and the protected rainforest
  • Return to the hotel for refreshments and rest
  • Afternoon safari drive in the Victoria Falls Private Game Reserve

DAY 9 : Tuesday:

  • Transfer by car to Victoria Falls International Airport
  • Two-hour domestic flight from Victoria Falls to Johannesburg

 

Connect to your outgoing international flight from 6 pm onwards.

Your Southern African adventure kicks off with a 2-night exotic safari stay called Camp Ndlovu. The lounge features a panoramic window opening directly onto a watering hole, so you will see a wide variety of animals, achieving the ultimate wildlife photography opportunity. On tours within the reserve, you will see the "Big 5" safari animals - elephants, lions, leopards, Cape Buffalo, and rhinoceroses. After a short domestic flight, the next stop on your tour is the gorgeous coastal city of Cape Town. Enjoy a 4-night stay in a boutique villa hotel. Explore Cape Town on guided day tours, including the Cape of Good Hope and Table Mountain. Experience Shabbat services at the Southern Hemisphere's oldest Orthodox synagogue.

 

Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe marks the last stop on your tour. After a short flight, you will check into a tranquil lodge with stunning views of the Zambezi River. You'll be treated to encounters with exotic animals and a sense of exquisite wonder. Then, return home with a collection of unforgettable memories from this once-in-a-lifetime African adventure.

DAY 1 : MADIKWE GAME RESERVE Monday:

Arrive Johannesburg preferably on a morning flight. 2 hour 30 minute  Road transfer to our private bush lodge in Madikwe Game reserve, breservationing on Botswana. Welcome drinks, time to relax and recover from international flight, and lunch. Afternoon safari drive, followed by dinner.

This incredible reserve has more than 300 kilometres of private safari roads, allowing the lodge to explore large , and interesting eco systems to locate the Big 5. The hilly and scenic terrain is very different to any other reserve in Africa, and hence a great plus point for safari goers wanting endless vistas, incredible sunsets, and close photographic encounters with the wildlife.

the lodge has 5 exclusive suites, with private plunge pools, overlooking the river course, and

the main lodge area directly overlooks a waterhole, which is regularly visited by elephant, lion, antelope and even leopard.  Its a haven of tranquility, awesome setting for a private , upmarket lodge experience, which is as good a safari, as any other safari in South Africa, and it offers the added benefit of being in a malaria free area, and a lot less travel time from Johannesburg than other more distant safari experiences.

DAY 2 : MADIKWE GAME RESERVE Tuesday: 

Early morning safari drive, and snacks, return to the lodge as the heat of the day increases for a breakfast/ brunch. Time at leisure , before afternoon safari drive, including sundowners in the bush. Return at twilight,  for dinner overlooking the waterhole.

DAY 3 : CAPE TOWN Wednesday:

Early morning safari drive, and snacks, return to the lodge as the heat of the day increases for a breakfast/ brunch. Transfer airstrip and fly to Johannesburg airport, fly to Cape Town. Transfer to hotel, with champagne served on viewsite en route. Welcome dinner.

Belmond Mount Nelson lies of 9 acres of gardens, set below the famous towering cliffs of Table Mountain, in the historic suburb of Gardens in Cape Town. It is the oldest and most famous hotel in the city, and oozes with history, and yet also with a recent full upgrade, modern amenities and excellent comfort.

With rolling lawns, numerous swimming pools, a huge spa and wellness centre, plus easy access on foot to the national art gallery, and the central ornate gardens that breservation on Parliament, its an iconic hotel in a fantastic area.

Just 7 minutes walk from the Cape Town Hebrew Congregation, and the oldest synagogue in the southern hemisphere, it also perfectly located for the Sabbath.

Kosher meals are delivered by our preferred Kosher caterers, as well as Shabbat meals which are included in the price.

Signal Hill  DAY 4 : CAPE TOWN Thursday:

Full day private Cape Point tour. Includes: vehicle, guide, Chapmans Peak Drive, visit to Cape Point & funicular, visit the Penguin Colony at Boulders beach. Excludes: lunch, all extras.

Full day private Cape Town City & Table Mountain tour. Includes: vehicle, guide, Table Mountain tickets, visit to two museums, Castle of Good Hope. A lovely visit to the Kirstenbosch tree canopy walk  is also a highlight set on the slopes of Newlands peak and an amazing botanical reserve. Return with good time to prepare for Sabbath Friday services, and then walk 7 minutes to the Local Shul. Thereafter enjoy Sabbath meal at the Hotel.

Walk to the Shul for morning services. Afternoon at leisure with Sabbath meals included.

DAY 7 : LIVINGSTONE (VICTORIA FALLS) Sunday: 

Early morning road transfer to Cape town airport, Fly 3 hours to Victoria Falls in Zimbabwe. Pick up and transfer 20 minutes to the hotel.  That afternoon enjoy a sunset boat cruise on the Zambezi river, to see swimming elephants, fish eagle, hippos, crocodiles and many bird species. Return to the hotel for dinner.

Shearwater Sunset Cruise DAY 8 : LIVINGSTONE (VICTORIA FALLS) Monday:

 Morning  guided tour of the Victoria Falls and the protected rainforest within the national park, return to hotel for some refreshments  and then afternoon safari drive in the Victoria Falls Private Game reserve.

After breakfast, road transfer to Victoria Falls International Airport. Fly just under 2 hours from Victoria Falls to Johannesburg International airport . Flight 13h30- 15h05.

Connect onto your outgoing international flight from 18h00 onwards.
