23-26 September RAV DANIEL HARTSTEIN received Semicha from Rav Aharon Soloveitchik, z"l, a BS in Marketing from Yeshiva University and an MS in Management Engineering from the University of Bridgeport. Rav Hartstein worked in the business world for over 15 years in the Telecom industry most recently as President of a Telecom start-up. Rav Hartstein is currently the Director of Institutional Advancement and Rebbe for Yeshivat Lev HaTorah in Beit Shemesh. Rav Hartstein is also a former Procurement Officer for the Ministry of Defense of Israel. In this capacity he was the liaison with the US Army in purchasing military vehicles and weapons for the Israeli Army. Rav Hartstein uses his experience to guide students in developing a Torah-based approach to business ethics. Rav Hartstein’s shiurim feature a unique mixture of solid halachic content and a hilarious delivery, guaranteeing that the listener will leave both informed and entertained.
27-30 September RABBI DOVID GOTTLIEB is a Ra”m at Yeshivat Har Etzion (Gush) and the rabbi and co-founder of Ganei Ha’ela, a new community being built in the suburbs of Ramat Beit Shemesh. Prior to his aliyah to Israel, in August, 2010, Rabbi Gottlieb served as rabbi of Congregation Shomrei Emunah, in Baltimore, MD. Since moving to Israel Rabbi Gottlieb has also taught at a number of yeshivot and seminaries and was commissioned by OU Press to write a book about the laws of Yom Tov. Rabbi Gottlieb received his rabbinic ordination from Yeshiva University, where he was also a member of their prestigious Wexner Kollel Elyon. In addition to co-editing two rabbinic journals, Rabbi Gottlieb is the author of Ateret Yaakov, a book of in-depth essays about a wide range of halachic topics. A highly regarded speaker and teacher, Rabbi Gottlieb has served as a Scholar in Residence for numerous communities in the United States, Canada, South Africa, Europe, and Israel. Rabbi Gottlieb is married to Ilana, the director of Midreshet AMIT, and they are blessed with four children.

WEINBERG is a diplomatic columnist for Israel Hayom and The Jerusalem Post, known for his polemical intensity and scholarly depth; and vice president of the Jerusalem Institute for Strategic Studies (jiss.org.il). He speaks and writes passionately on Middle East strategic affairs, Israeli diplomacy and defense strategy, intelligence matters, party politics in Israel, religion and state, Israel-Diaspora relations, and anti-Semitism. He also heads the Israel Office of Canada’s Center for Israel and Jewish Affairs. He has been senior advisor to Deputy Prime Minister Natan Sharansky; coordinator of the Global Forum Against Anti-Semitism in the Prime Minister’s Office; spokesman of the Herzliya Conference on National Security; and spokesman of Bar-Ilan University. He holds degrees from Bar-Ilan University and the University of Toronto, and studied at Yeshivot Hakotel and Har Etzion. He is married with six children and lives in Nof Ayalon in central Israel. RABBI AHARON ZIEGLER is student of Rabbi Joseph B. Soloveitchik, ZT”L, Rabbi Ziegler lectures extensively and has published five volumes on the Halakhot of the Rav. He has served as scholar-in-residence throughout the USA at many hotels. Rabbi Ziegler received his master’s degree in religious education from YU and is a member of the RCA, and the Rabbinical Alliance of America. He is the Rabbi emeritus of Congregation Agudath Achim of Brooklyn, New York, where he had served for 36 years. Aharon and his wife Libby made Aliyah in May 2009, and live in Jerusalem. He is Rosh Kollel of Yeshiva O’Raita, a Smicha program of the Israelite Institute in the Old City.
